Bible Day was held in Central Church of Seventh-day Adventists Church - Uwisara lane Yangon on 14, August 2010. Rev Khoi Lam Thang, the General Secretary of the Bible Society of Myanmar preached at the service and Rev Muller Kyaw, the President of the SDA Myanmar offered special prayer for the Bible Ministry in Myanmar.
SDA is one of the active member Churches of the Bible Society of Myanmar and they have been so generous in supporting the Bible Ministry.
Pulpit Exchanged Program was organized by the Bible Society of Myanmar on Bible Day which fell on 14-15, August, 2010. 103 Ecclesiastical leaders were sent to different churches in Yangon. Also from Yangon 25 leaders were sent to different cities and towns such as Mandalay, Bassein, Hentada, Pha-an, Danuphyu, Thanlyn, Pagu, Phyapun, Myaungmya, Ma-ubin and Taunggyi.
SINGING COMPETITION IS NOT JUST SINGING BUT ACTING
Young people showed their best skills in acting the meaning of the song. 5 hours competition was not bored but interesting and people eager to watch the next group. Some times the competition seems to turn as drama competition.
Thousands of young people and their parents at the competition Hall. The competition took 5 hours but young people were not bored instead they shouted and encouraged the participants.
TEDIM BAPTIST CHURCH - YANGON YOUTH FELLOWSHIP sang and acted at their best but can not compete Kachin brothers and sisters and MIT giants. They satisfied with the prize they received but said, "We will try again next year to be the best".
MIT (MYANMAR INSTITUTE OF THEOLOGY) SCORED THE SECOND BEST AT THE COMPETITION. NO WONDER WHY! TALENTED YOUNGSTERS FROM BARS (Liberal Arts) AND M.DIV STUDENTS SHOWED THEIR UNITY AND COMBINED THEIR UNRIVALED POTENTIALITIES. The whole hall was chanted MIT MIT MIT.
They are the ones who will take the WORD to every corners of the country and even to abroad.
Youth from Kachin Baptist Church - Yangon deservedly stood first at the pre Bible Day singing competition held at Hpu Tha Phyu Hall in Insein, Yangon. 17 groups from Churches and Bible Schools participated at the function and the hall was packed with the young and old who witness the competition and love the WORD which is life for the world.

Phu Tha Phyu hall Insein. 17 groups participated at the function and
the hall was packed by young people and church leaders. Greeting
message was presented by Rev Dr Saw Shwe (Chairman BSM), Pastoral Prayer was led
by Rev Saw Cranner (Treasurer BSM) and the brief Bible Ministry was
presented by Rev Khoi Lam Thang (General Secretary BSM).
The theme (The Word of God, Life for the World) song was composed by the famous gospel singer Sangpi and originally sung by Sangpi and Chan Chan.
Competition result shows: First: Kachin Baptist Church Second : Myanmar Institute of Theology Third: Tedim Baptist Church-Yangon) All groups deserved high credit.
2010 Bible day falls on 15 August 2010. Theme for this year is "The Word of God: Life for All". Annual Bible Society booklet (report) has been published and distributed across the country. In many towns and cities including Yangon, the churches are preparing for the annual Bible Day.
Pre Bible Day singing competition will be held at Phu Tha Phyu Hall, Seminary Hill, Insein on August 7, 2010. The theme song was prayerfully composed by vocalist Sangpi and sung together with Chan Chan. The theme song was also distributed across the country.
Pulpit exchange program is one of the most meaningful and effective Bible ministry promotion activities. Church leaders were assigned to different churches to preach as well as to share the Bible Society activities.
