Prayer Focus in March, 2006
Give thanks for God's faithful guidance and His work done through the ministry of Bible Society of Myanmar in the first quarter of 2006. Particularly, we thank God for publication of Ngawn Chin New Testament, Psalms and Proverbs within the country with permission and such permission is the first ever in almost 30 years.
Please pray for preparation of Myanmar Bible software dedication in August, 2006 and safe delivery of Bibles which are delayed on the way. Pray that there will be more tranquility, solidarity and prosperity in our country in the near future.
Prayer Focus in January, 2006
We praise God for setting new record in printing of (8) kinds of scriptures including three new languages in 2005.
- Please pray for the research work for OT translation of two new languages.
- Please pray for the revision of Myanmar Bible (Judson version) which will start in early 2006.
Prayer Focus in December, 2005.
We give thanks to the Lord for receiving of Myanmar CL Bible .
- Please pray for Thanksgiving and dedication of these Bibles on January 12, 2006.
- Prayfor the Executive Committee meeting which will be held on December 22, 2005.
- Pray for 4000 copies of Bibles to be received.
- Please pray for Peace,Justice and unity in our country.
Prayer Focus in August
Give thanks to God for the arrival of the Myanmar Bibles.
Please continue to pray for the safe arrival of the Bibles on the way.
We give thanks to God for the supporting members and volunteers who contribute and raise funds for the Bible ministry and also for their prayer support.
Please pray that the plan for printing of Scriptures in 2005 could be carried out successfully.
Prayer Focus in September:
Please pray for:
- Publication of Bibles in seven different languages this year,
- Safe delivery of copies of Bibles which are on the way,
- More than 15 Bible translators in their respective languages,
- Renovation plan of Bible house,
- Staff, supporting members, volunteers and Board members.
Myanmar Prayer Supplement for July'2005
Thank God that Hawa Naga OT translation workshop was conducted successfully in Myintkyibna,Kachin State.
Praise the Lord that printing of Bible Day booklets was completed and sending of these booklets to churches,Christian organizations in Myanmar and,Churhes and Fellowships abroad is now under way.
Please pray that Bible Day falls on August 21 will be observed meaningfully by the Churches in Myanmar as well as the Myanmar Churches and fellowships abroad.
Please Pray also for pre-Bible Day program.
Myanmar Prayer Supplement for June'2005
Thank God that we could celbrate UBS prayer Day meaningfully attended by Board members,Church leaders and all the staff. Please pray for Hawa Naga Old Testament project which is the new project that translator, reviewers and the commitee members may work together cooperatively with God's guidance and adequate knowedge in translation.
Myanmar Prayer Supplement for May' 2005
We give thanks for the team spirit and concerted efforts of the staff.
Please pray for the spirituality,integrity and dedication of the staff of BSM. We request prayer for the printing of 17 kinds of Bible and NT in 2005 especially for the funds required. We give thanks for receiving of the scriptures sent through special arrangement.
Myanmar Prayer Supplement for February' 2005
Praise God for receiving Sgaw Karen Common Language Bibles in good shape. Also for the effectiveness of Christmas selections, widely distributed to the non-believers.
(1) Please pray for the General Assembly of the Bible Society of Myanmar which will be held on March 4 where new leaders will be chosen.
(2) Please also pray for the Bible translation workshops on Zo Tung and Hawa Naga Languages to be held in March. Pray especially for the staff so that they may be filled the power of the Holy Spirit and wisdom from God and able to do greater things in Bible Ministry in 2005.
Myanmar Prayer Supplement for January' 2005
We give thanks to God for the success of the Bible ministry workshop held in Kalemyo, attended by (112) church leaders from 16 Denominations.
(1) Please pray for our staff retreat to be held in 2nd week of January 2004.
(2) Please also pray for reaching out to non-believers with Christmas selections by various churches and groups during Christmas.
(3) Please pray for the printing of the first ever Myanmar Common Language Bible.
Prayer Focus in December 2004
(1) Please pray for the (18) translation projects and the consultant checking of the Cho Chin OT and Pwo Kayin common Language OT in December.
(2) Praise God for individuals, Churches, Organizations which are faithfully supporting the Bible Ministry in Myanmar so that the Word of God will be distributed ever more widely and effectively.
(3) Pray for our government so that God will grant wisdom and courage to rule the country with truth, righteousness and justice.
(1) Please pray that copies of Bibles (Burmese, Sgaw Kayin, Zotung Chin, Tedim Chin and Siyin Chin) would safely arrive.
(2) Please pray for the intime publication and distribution of Scripture Calendar, Dairy 2005 and Christmas Selections.
(4) Please pray for staff, Board members and supporting members of BSM.
Pray for Bible Society
Pray for Rev. Mar Gay Gyi, the General Secretary of Bible Society of Myanmar:
1. Pray for Divine wisdom to enable Rev. Saw Mar Gay Gyi to give leadership over the society.
2. Pray for the favor of the LORD as he deals with Bible societies and translators.
3. Pray for the continual release of Divine provision to aid the printing and the distribution of Bibles in Myanmar.
