ilumina Bible encyclopedia translation workshop

Ilumina Bible Encyclopedia Translation Workshop was held at Translation department, BSM on February 16, 2006. The resource persons were Levi Thang (Sapte): Bible Society of Myanmar Website and Myanmar Bible software project leader based in US and Rev. Richard Toh (Pastor of Community Baptist Church, Kuala Lumpur). Representatives from Myanmar, Karen (Sgaw and Pwo), and Chin (Hakha, Falam, Tedim and Matu) language groups attended. At the workshop Rev. Saw Mar Gay Gyi: (the General Secretary of BSM) introduced the workshop and said the opening prayer, Rev. Richard shared his burning burden for the people of Myanmar based on the book of Jeremiah and encouraged the participants.

 

Using LCD projector, Levi shared what is all about the Ilumina Bible Encyclopedia Translation Project and the processes and possibility of the project for different language groups. The representatives positively responded and it is hoped that Jesus DVD in at least 7 languages will be ready within 6 months from now.

ANNUAL RETREAT

PYIN OO LWIN (MAYMYO)

Feb 7-14, 2006


One day retreat and Bible ministry promotion workshop was held in Pin Oo Lwin (formerly known as Maymyo, about 600 miles from Yangon) during February 10 and 11, 2006. Led by General Secretary Rev. Saw Mar Gay Gyi, 15 membersof all Senior staff, Junior staff and Supporting staff were participated. On the February 10, 2006 the whole day was meaningfully scheduled for Devotion,

 

Bible study and reflection, Prayer for Bible ministry and Individual meditation. Everybody felt important and meaningful as enhancement of personal commitment for spreading the Word of God in Myanmar.

 

Annual retreat has been self-reflection on individual's spiritual journey as well as physical relaxation and renewing communication- Bridge among each other as co-workers

Pyin Oo Lwin Work Shop

 

The Bible Ministry Promotion Workshop was held on February 11, 2006, attended by 34 Pastors, Fathers and Church leaders from different seven denominations. Saramu Aye Aye Chit gave an inspired Bible Study, General Secretary shared the overview Ministry of the Bible Society and Rev Min Dein presented the possible promotion for Distribution in particular. Every body participated in group and penal discussion enthusiastically.
